Quavo Confirms Final Migos Album And Tour With Offset

Quavo has confirmed that he and Offset are preparing a final Migos album and a supporting tour. The announcement was made during an interview on New York radio station Hot 97.

The two surviving members of the influential Atlanta rap trio have been seen together in the studio this year, fueling speculation about a potential comeback. Their legendary run, marked by hits like "Bad And Boujee" and the classic 2017 album Culture, appeared to end with the death of member Takeoff in November 2022.

Reuniting After Tragedy

Quavo and Offset were feuding at the time of Takeoff's death. They have since performed together on multiple occasions to honor their late groupmate, including a tribute at the BET Awards. The path to reconciliation has been rocky, with reports of a backstage physical altercation before a planned Grammys tribute in February 2023. Both rappers have also faced personal challenges, with Offset surviving a shooting outside a casino in April of this year.

Honoring Takeoff's Legacy

The new Migos project is intended to serve as a final chapter for the group and will include posthumous verses from Takeoff. Quavo emphasized the desire to honor his nephew's memory with the release. "At the same time, we missing the Rocket, so we want to make sure we honor him and make sure we have the right tools to make the music sound original as if he was here," he said during the radio interview.

He also addressed concerns about the use of artificial intelligence to replicate Takeoff's voice, suggesting the album would use material the rapper had already worked on. Quavo stated they owe the fans the music and that the legacy must continue, believing Takeoff would not want any completed music to be archived.

Solo Projects Continue

While planning the final Migos album, both artists continue their individual careers. Quavo's new solo album, Qrömelife, produced by Pharrell Williams, is set for release on October 2. Its new single, "Backwards" featuring T.I., was released on the same day as his radio interview confirming the Migos plans.

The announcement solidifies plans for a definitive end to the Migos catalog, promising fans one last collaborative album and a tour from the two remaining members.
