Zara Larsson broke the all-time attendance record at New Zealand's Spark Arena twice on consecutive nights. The singer welcomed 12,796 fans to her first show on Sunday, Oct. 25, busting the venue's previous record.

She topped that figure the following night, Oct. 26, with 12,798 attendees. That is 25,594 fans across the two nights, another record for the country's biggest arena. The previous all-time attendance record was set by Linkin Park with 12,736 attendees in March 2026.

Record broken again on night two

The second night's crowd of 12,798 set a new consecutive-night record at the venue. This capped a historic two-night stand that concluded her sold-out Midnight Sun Tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Tour milestone and context

The Auckland shows were the finale of a 10-show sold-out Australia and New Zealand leg. All 10 shows across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, and Auckland sold out. Earlier, on Friday, Oct. 23, she performed the biggest headline show of her career to almost 18,000 fans at Afterpay Arena in Sydney.

Spark Arena, which opened in 2007, is New Zealand's largest indoor arena. The Midnight Sun Tour is set to continue through the Philippines' Araneta Coliseum on Oct. 30 and Thailand's UOB Live on Nov. 1.

Industry reaction

Live Nation tour promoter Mike Ross commented on Larsson's achievement. Mike Ross said: "Zara's meteoric rise is unparalleled and a reflection of her talent, her warmth, and the genuine connection she has with fans around the world."

Spark Arena general manager Mark Gosling said the team is thrilled by Larsson's achievement. He said the attendance figure may be hard to beat.

Local welcome and career notes

Larsson and her touring crew were welcomed to Auckland with a pōwhiri from local iwi Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. She walked out on Sunday to Pātea Māori Club's 1983 hit Poi E and performed a brief cover of Royals by Kiwi singer Lorde at a VIP soundcheck.

Larsson got her break at just 10 years of age when she won Talang, the Swedish edition of Got Talent, in 2008. She has seven appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned a Grammy nomination in February for Midnight Sun. She received the breakthrough award at Billboard's Women in Music event in April and The Trevor Project's 2026 mental health champion of the year award earlier this month.

Larsson's tour continues with dates at Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines and UOB Live in Thailand.
