Australian indie-pop band Parcels has signed a global publishing agreement with BMG. The five-piece group, formed in Byron Bay in 2014, has amassed over 1.5 billion career streams and now operates from a base across three continents.

Parcels relocated to Berlin in the mid-2010s to develop their sound. The band consists of Anatole Serret, Jules Crommelin, Louie Swain, Noah Hill, and Patrick Hetherington. They embody an international spirit with Australian roots and a strong creative history in Europe and the United States.

Breakthrough and catalogue

Their breakthrough arrived with the 2017 single Overnight, which was co-produced by French electronic icons Daft Punk. The band has since released three studio albums and several live recordings. Their third studio album, LOVED, arrived in 2025.

That release was supported by a major world tour. The 2025 itinerary included sold-out international arena dates across Europe, North America, and Australia, featuring the band's first-ever U.S. arena headline shows. Parcels also performed at the Coachella festival in 2025.

New publishing partnership

The new global music publishing deal with independent music company BMG was led from its Berlin headquarters. Jasper Niebuhr, managing director of BMG Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, spearheaded the agreement. Key contributors included BMG executives Alistair Norbury, Monti Olson, and Heath Johns.

Jasper Niebuhr praised the band's trajectory. "Parcels are one of the most distinctive and compelling bands of their generation," he said. He added that their extraordinary musicianship, songwriting, and creative vision have allowed them to build a global career on their own terms.

Band manager Birger Luedemann also commented on the partnership. He noted the shared enthusiasm for the band within the company. "What really stood out to us was the genuine excitement for Parcels across the entire BMG team," Luedemann said.

Side projects and solo ventures

Alongside the group's collective activity, individual members are pursuing parallel creative ventures. Ahead of the BMG announcement, band members Patrick Hetherington and Jules Crommelin launched a new project called Dream Boat. That outfit released its debut single, Real!, on October 21.

Separately, band member Noah Hill released a solo album titled Ok ok now last month. The band's world touring continues following the LOVED album cycle, coinciding with the debut release from the Dream Boat side project.
