HYBE will launch the first international edition of its Weverse Con Festival in New Delhi on March 27 and 28, 2027. This marks the flagship festival's debut outside South Korea, featuring a two-day program of live performances by K-pop and Indian artists alongside fan-focused experiences.

The event is designed to bring the two music cultures together through interactive activities, brand activations, and cultural programming. It aims to create opportunities for artists and fans to connect beyond the stage, including special collaboration stages. Lineup and ticketing details will follow at a later date.

Strategic significance for HYBE

HYBE positions the festival as a cornerstone of its multi-home, multi-genre strategy. HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee stated the event marks a new chapter in that strategy and reflects the company's commitment to India as a key market for global growth.

Zooil Yang, President of Weverse Company, said the goal is to transform the digital community into a large-scale shared live experience. The superfan platform Weverse will partner on the festival, extending its services into the live environment to seamlessly integrate online and offline fandom. Under its multi-home strategy, HYBE develops local artists and intellectual property in markets including the United States, Japan, and Latin America.

Partnerships and access

The festival is being co-produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live. Tickets will be sold exclusively through the BookMyShow platform, which has developed K-pop as a live entertainment category in India.

Mastercard will provide its cardholders with exclusive access to pre-sale tickets and serves as the festival's banking partner. The event is presented by an array of brand partners.

Context of HYBE’s India investments

This push follows HYBE's establishment of its fifth global headquarters in Mumbai, which opened in September 2025. At that time, HYBE said India's music streaming market was the second-largest in the world, with approximately 185 million users. The company noted that India's music segment fell 8% to INR 23 billion, or $264 million, in 2025.

HYBE INDIA, the company's strategic office focused on content production, launched nationwide auditions in March 2026 to form a next-generation global girl group. Applications for girls born between 2005 and 2011 ran through July 31, 2026, with in-person audition rounds held across 10 Indian cities and international locations including London, New York, and Sydney.

Precedent and scale from past editions

The Weverse Con Festival is HYBE's flagship global music event. Previous editions have been held in South Korea. The most recent Seoul edition in June 2026 drew a combined 34,000 in-person and online attendees, establishing a scale the company now aims to replicate internationally.

HYBE, the South Korean entertainment company home to BTS, is expanding its ecosystem through experiences meant to resonate with local audiences. The festival draws inspiration from the fan communities built around the Weverse platform. Lineup and ticketing details will follow at a later date.
