Moonbug Launches Big Feelings Music for Kids' Artists
Moonbug Entertainment, owner of CoComelon, has launched Big Feelings Music, a new company offering label and distribution services to children's music

Moonbug Entertainment, the company behind CoComelon and Blippi, launched a new children's and family music company called Big Feelings Music on Tuesday, September 22. The firm will offer label services, publishing administration, and video distribution to artists and creators in the space.
Moonbug, owned by Candle Media, describes Big Feelings Music as a "fully integrated music company." It is built on the infrastructure Moonbug developed to grow its own franchises. Jon Benoy, Managing Director of Platforms and Music at Moonbug Entertainment, said the company has seen the challenges artists face. With Big Feelings Music, we’re opening it up to others so they can focus on creating exceptional music while we help them reach families at scale, Benoy stated.
Initial Artist Roster
The new company's initial lineup features eight signed acts, with more in development. Moonbug's website also lists three additional recent signings.
Claude Brooks, Co-Creator of Doggyland, said the partnership aligns with a shared vision. Partnering with Big Feelings Music gives us an exciting opportunity to expand that mission, reach even more families around the world, and continue creating music that kids love and parents feel good about, Brooks said.
The Children's Music Market
Moonbug argues that children's music is a major but under-invested category. According to Luminate's 2025 Year-End Music Report, it was the ninth-largest genre in the US by on-demand audio consumption, generating 15.7 billion streams. For context, total US on-demand audio streams reached 1.4 trillion last year.
The category over-indexes in video consumption. Moonbug pointed to CoComelon's Wheels on the Bus as the world's most-streamed music video of 2025, with over 2 billion on-demand video streams. Its official YouTube video has now surpassed 9 billion lifetime views.
Partner Testimonials and Model
Artists on the roster highlighted the support Big Feelings Music provides. Ryan Bliss, co-founder of Mooseclumps, credited Moonbug with turning a passion project into a career. They’ve opened doors we never imagined: a global distribution network, real industry connections, and a team of genuinely talented people who care about kids’ music as much as we do, Bliss explained.
Alyssa Stern, Founder of Baby Bandstand, said the partnership allows her to share a developmental mission on a larger scale. Moonbug cited a recent collaboration between Doggyland and Blippi on the track My Ice Cream Truck (Doggyland Version) in August as an early example of the model in action.
Moonbug's content is available on over 150 video platforms, with music on more than 100 audio platforms globally. The company scaled its music operation through a 2021 exclusive global deal with Universal Music Group for distribution, publishing, and licensing.
