Josh Remsberg has been appointed Head of Commercial Partnerships at the direct-to-fan platform EVEN. The new role, announced on September 25, will see him run the platform's commercial relationships across labels, distributors, managers, artist teams, merchandise partners, and key industry and chart-reporting organizations.

Remsberg brings more than 20 years of experience across commercial strategy, revenue, business development, marketing, and artist management to the position. His appointment comes as EVEN scales its platform, which enables artists to sell music, content, and experiences directly to fans.

Remsberg's background at Warner Records

Josh Remsberg most recently served as SVP, Head of Commercial Strategy & Revenue at Warner Records. There, he oversaw revenue, commercial partnerships, and strategic marketing for a roster that included Zach Bryan, Benson Boone, and Teddy Swims. Warner Records’ US revenue rose 30% during his tenure, while its US market share grew by 35%. He left the label in July 2025 during a restructuring of its marketing and commerce teams.

Remsberg's prior experience at Universal Music Group

Before Warner Records, Remsberg spent nearly two decades at Universal Music Group. His most recent role there was SVP, Commerce & Business Development at Capitol Records. At Capitol, his remit included digital strategy, business development, marketing technology, advertising, and the Capitol 360 Innovation Center. As Head of Commercial Marketing, he worked on release strategies for artists including Katy Perry, Halsey, Paul McCartney, and Niall Horan.

He also co-founded the management company Art Associates, with clients including Mayer Hawthorne, Gabriel Garzón-Montano, and Tuxedo.

EVEN's platform and growth

EVEN is a direct-to-fan platform launched in April 2024. It provides e-commerce, fan-data, and payments infrastructure supporting over 30 payment methods across 140 currencies. Artists reach the platform through two core products.

EVEN has onboarded more than 500,000 artists via direct signups and distribution partnerships. These artists are across over 3,000 labels and distributors in more than 110 countries. The platform reports eligible sales to Luminate for Billboard chart inclusion.

Industry partnerships and ecosystem

EVEN has been actively securing partnerships to expand its reach. In February of this year, it struck a multi-year agreement with Universal Music Group, establishing EVEN as a direct-to-fan resource for UMG's labels and artists. A partnership with independent music company Cinq Music followed in June. Those deals came after earlier agreements with digital distributors including Too Lost and Symphonic in 2025.

Founder and CEO Mag Rodriguez said the appointment aligns with the platform's growth phase. "Josh understands both the creative ambition of artists and the commercial realities of the teams supporting them," Rodriguez stated. He added that as EVEN scales, Remsberg will help deepen label relationships and expand use of EVEN Studio to build stronger artist businesses.

Remsberg echoed the platform's potential. He said EVEN is building something that works alongside streaming while creating new opportunities for artists and their partners. He expressed excitement about helping to bring that model to more of the industry.

The company also named Lauren Wirtzer, formerly of SoundCloud, UnitedMasters, and Instagram, as its Chief Operating Officer in October 2025. Remsberg will now lead EVEN's commercial relationships across labels, distributors, and partners to expand artist business opportunities.
