Dazy Announces MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2
James Goodson, the musician behind Dazy, has announced a new compilation album titled MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2.

James Goodson, the Richmond-based musician behind the one-man project Dazy, has announced a new compilation titled MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2: 24 Songs From 2023-2026. The album, which includes seven previously unreleased tracks, is scheduled for release on October 23 through Lame-O Records. Goodson also revealed plans for a fall tour across North America in support of the release.
Goodson, who works as a music publicist, began anonymously releasing tracks on Bandcamp during the summer of 2020. His first compilation, MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD: The First 24 Songs, arrived in 2021. Dazy's sole proper album to date is 2022's OUTOFBODY. Since then, new material has typically emerged as singles.
New Single and Tracklist
The lead single from the compilation is Beat Change, released concurrently with the announcement. The track is described as a huge, swirling rocker that runs for five and a half minutes, potentially making it Dazy's longest and most ambitious work to date. The song starts loud and trippy and gets a lot louder and trippier, with lyrics addressing the anxieties of aging and life's fleeting nature.
The full 24-track compilation includes the seven new songs alongside previously released material. The tracklist is as follows:

Musical Evolution and Collaborations
