AZ Chike and Tyler, The Creator Drop New
AZ Chike and Tyler, The Creator drop new collaborative single 'Look Like My Mama'. The track precedes AZ Chike's upcoming album and tour.

AZ Chike and Tyler, The Creator have teamed up on a new single titled "Look Like My Mama." The song is a back-and-forth rap session released today, ahead of AZ Chike's album No Rest For The Wicked, which is scheduled for release on September 18 via Warner Records.
According to a report from Stereogum, Tyler, The Creator produced the track's funky and cartoonish beat. The song features no traditional hook, instead focusing on the two rappers trading punchlines in what the source describes as a classic tag-team attack. This marks the first time the two artists have released a song together. The source also notes that 50 Cent has a writing credit on the track, though the reason is unclear, suggesting a possible sample.
The Artists Behind the Track
AZ Chike, a rapper from South Central Los Angeles, has been creating music for nearly a decade. His profile rose significantly in 2024 when he appeared on Kendrick Lamar's track "Peekaboo" from the GNX album. Tyler, The Creator, whose eclectic style is highlighted by his inclusion on this year's Camp Flog Gnaw lineup, is noted for returning to his underground rap roots on this collaboration.
Accompanying Music Video and Tour
The single is accompanied by a music video directed by Stacking Memories. The video recreates scenes from several films, including Napoleon Dynamite, Dead Presidents, Paid In Full, Sinners, and Men In Black.
AZ Chike is also set to embark on a nationwide tour in support of his upcoming album. The tour begins in October and runs through November.
