Berlin electronic duo Brutalismus 3000 have released a new single titled "Drop Your Spirit." The track arrives alongside the announcement of a North American tour set to begin in early September.

According to Stereogum, the song was recorded during the sessions for the group's second album, Harmony, which was released in June. Theo Zeitner and Victoria Vassiliki Daldas produced "Drop Your Spirit" with Dylan Brady of 100 Gecs. The duo previously stated that Harmony drew inspiration from sources including Leonard Cohen, the album Pulse, and the experimental hip-hop group Death Grips.

New Single and Video

A music video for "Drop Your Spirit" has been released alongside the single. Stereogum describes the visual accompaniment as "highly entertaining." The track is characterized as a "new club cut," suggesting it is designed for dance floors.

Recent Album Release

The new single follows the duo's sophomore album, Harmony, which was released just a few months ago. In their discussion with Stereogum, Zeitner and Daldas cited an eclectic mix of influences for that project. The release of "Drop Your Spirit" provides fresh material from those same recording sessions.

The tour announcement and single release mark a busy period for the Berlin-based act as they prepare to bring their music to North American audiences this fall.
