Hayley Williams opened her new 'The Hayley Williams Show' tour on Thursday night at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach. The Paramore frontwoman performed multiple songs from her early solo catalog live for the first time, fulfilling her promise to feature material from all three of her solo albums.

Before the show, speculation was fueled by venues in Los Angeles and New York, which teased the concerts using lyrics from B.o.B.'s 2010 hit "Airplanes" and Zedd's 2012 track "Stay The Night." Both songs feature Williams. She did not perform either of those tracks at the tour opener, nor did she play any Paramore songs. The set instead focused heavily on her own solo work.

Live Debuts From Early Albums

Williams never toured behind her first two solo LPs, 2020's Petals For Armor and 2021's Flowers For Vases / Descansos, due to the pandemic. The Palm Beach concert rectified that, with Williams liberally sprinkling songs from those records into the setlist. This resulted in a significant number of live debuts for her solo career.

She also performed "Crystal Clear," a song she had previously played live with Paramore but never as a solo artist. The show included a cover of Nina Simone's "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" and incorporated a snippet of Portishead's "Wandering Star" into her performance of "Simmer."

The Complete Setlist

The full setlist, as reported by Setlist.fm, is provided below. Songs marked as live debuts were performed in front of an audience by Williams for the first time in her solo career.

Tour Context and Openers

The new tour follows Williams's first-ever solo outing earlier this year, which was built around her 2024 album Ego Death At The Bachelorette Party. She announced "The Hayley Williams Show" in May, promising a show drawing from all three solo albums with "some exciting surprises." Opening acts for the West Palm Beach date were Magdalena Bay and Rico Nasty.

The report from Stereogum notes that Williams "kicked ass" during her previous tour stop at Kilby Block Party. Whether she will eventually incorporate the speculated guest feature songs or Paramore material into future dates on this tour is not yet clear. For now, the focus is squarely on her solo repertoire, with the Palm Beach set offering a deep dive into previously unperformed work.
