15 Minutes – Sabrina Carpenter | Track Review

This past Valentine’s Day, Sabrina Carpenter put out a deluxe version of her most recent LP, Short n’ Sweet. Of all of the new songs, “15 Minutes” stood out the most to me.

With ‘80s-inspired synths, thumping basslines, and Sabrina’s addicting hooks, the song creates a deep and rich atmosphere. Although the lyrics are simple, they perfectly complement the songs aesthetic and mood.

The production is beautiful. Every element blends so perfectly to blend a full and vibrant atmosphere. Sabrina glides over the instrumentals effortlessly, weaving in and out of the basslines. The mix is layered carefully with a violin in one ear, electric guitar in the other, and lush synths in the background of the mix, giving this song depth and character.

This is one of the most addicting pop songs I’ve heard in a while. It’s catchy, well produced, and feels alive. The double entendre on fifteen minutes with boys, and fifteen minutes of fame is clever, and adds to the overall charm. The melodies and harmony kept me invested, and incentivized me to come back for more. After listening, I’m excited for the next Sabrina Carpenter album.
