This is a required listen for anyone who is a fan of the punk genre—Vic somehow takes an interesting idea, and rips it to shreds.
The lyrics are cringy, the instrumentals are lazily thrown together, and the worst part is the pop-punk influence. The way this album was marketed made me think it would be a hardcore rap fusion album. Instead, the first song is a stereotypical, 2000’s mall pop-punk track. The only good thing about this album is that it’s 30 minutes long.
I’m all for short songs, but there are tracks on this album that are less than a minute and a half. They have barely any structure, goofy, disjointed intros, and pointless interludes. it boggles my mind that this album saw the light of day. I can’t think of a single redeemable quality other than how impressively messy it is. The album cover is goofy, the rap parts sound like generic summer pop-trap from the late 2010’s, and it was even dated then.
This album is a must-listen for anyone into punk—just to see what not to do. I’ve never heard anything quite like it, which is somewhat of an accomplishment. I can see bits and pieces of ideas that could have been worth something. Instead, it sounds like Vic didn’t even try. This project sounds thrown together. Maybe one day he’ll make another punk album, next time he’ll have more to write about I’m sure.
